City of Hope

The cancer center is part of City of Hope’s $1-billion campus, which also includes a hospital that is slated to open next to the cancer center in 2025. Once it opens, it will be the county’s only specialty hospital dedicated to only treating and curing cancer.

James A. Musick Facility Jail Expansion

Detention Center
The expansion includes adding two new housing structures on the 94-acre property at Irvine’s edge. It will add 896 beds, boosting the jail’s capacity to 2,208. The new construction is set to replace the existing mix of permanent buildings and repurposed wooden barracks and tents that were added during the inmate boom of the 1980s and 1990s.

The 2,850-seat amphitheater that’s currently under construction at UC San Diego will be named after La Jolla philanthropists Daniel and Phyllis Epstein, who are giving the school $10 million to help create the venue.

Warner Bros. Second Century Expansion

Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility

The ConRAC facility will provide a direct connection to LAX’s Automated People Mover (APM) train system. With this direct connection, rental car shuttles will no longer be needed to shuttle customers to and from the Central Terminal Area (CTA), which will result in the elimination of more than 3,200 daily rental car shuttle trips on the surrounding streets and into and out of the CTA.
